Who We Are

We are a small-scale breeder of golden retrievers. We usually have two litters per year. It's important to us to put the health of our breeding females first. Our goldens are our pets first, and we breed them only if they are good candidates and vet-approved. The following are our standards:

  • Good or better hips, elbows, eyes, and heart
  • DNA tested and clear of genetic diseases
  • Great temperment and a good example of a dog that would add value to the breed

The goldens are all raised inside of our home. The puppies are under 24-hour care for the first 3-weeks of their life. Growth is monitored closely, and we are getting them used to the touch and smell of humans. After 3 weeks, the puppies eyes are open and they are starting to walk and eat what we call "puppy mush." During this time we socialize them to as many things as possible. We try to get them outside as weather permits. They have access to a variety of toys and equipment and are socialized with our bigger goldens, which are their Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents. We are one big happy golden family here!

This is our founding golden. Known to the AKC as Opie Taylor Bosley. Known to us as the king of our hearts. Opie served as a stud dog through the years. Breeders from all over travelled to have Opie sire their litters. Everyone was in love with his red color and his big blocky head. After several years of breeding Opie, we adopted one of his daughters, which started our breeding program. Opie is now 9.5 years old and is as sweet as ever. He is enjoying his "retirement" with his daughter and grandchildren.
